Puzzle Page Answers — Daily Crossword, Codeword & More

All 17 issues covered — crossword answers, free, no sign-up.

Puzzle Page Answers is your complete guide to every issue of the Puzzle Page daily puzzle magazine app by AppyNation. Puzzle Page is not just one game — it is a daily bundle of multiple puzzle types, delivered in a magazine-style format. Each issue includes crosswords, codewords, word slither, picture cross, sudoku, kakuro, and more, refreshed every day with a new set of challenges.

The crossword and codeword puzzles are where most players need help, and this site has complete answers for every issue. The crossword-style puzzles test vocabulary and general knowledge; the codewords use a number-to-letter substitution cipher similar to Cryptogram; the Word Slither puzzles ask you to find words along winding paths through a letter grid.

Picture Cross (also called Nonogram or Picross) is a grid-based logic puzzle where you fill in squares according to number clues on each row and column to reveal a hidden image — no words required, just logical deduction. Kakuro works like a numeric crossword where every row and column must sum to a target number using unique digits.

How to Play Puzzle Page

Puzzle Page is a daily puzzle magazine app by AppyNation. Instead of a single puzzle type, it delivers a fresh collection of different puzzle genres each day — packaged as pages in a digital magazine. Each issue typically includes a crossword, a codeword, a Word Slither, a Picture Cross, and a numeric puzzle such as Sudoku or Kakuro.

The crossword works like a standard British-style crossword with a mix of definition clues, cryptic clues, and general knowledge questions. Answers intersect at shared letters, and solving one clue gives you confirming letters for the crosses.

The Codeword puzzle assigns each letter of the alphabet a unique number (1–26). A handful of letters are pre-revealed; your task is to deduce the remaining mappings from pattern recognition and word knowledge. It is the same principle as a substitution cipher — once you identify the common short words, the rest decodes rapidly.

Word Slither presents a grid of letters and asks you to find words along continuous winding paths — like a word search, but the words follow a snake-like track through the grid. Picture Cross (Nonogram) requires no word knowledge at all: you fill squares according to number clues on the edges to reveal a hidden pixel image.

Tips for Tough Puzzle Page Clues

Lucas Moreau's strategies for each of Puzzle Page's main puzzle types:

For the crossword: Start with the clues where you are most confident and fill in crossing letters first. British crosswords often use slightly different spelling conventions (COLOUR, FLAVOUR) so keep that in mind for words that could go either way. The grid usually has a theme connecting several of the longest answers.

For the Codeword: Begin with single-letter words (only A or I in English) and the most common two-letter combinations: OF, TO, IN, IS, IT, BE, AS, AT. The letters E, T, A, O, I are the five most common in English — the number that appears most frequently across the grid is almost certainly E.

For Word Slither: Scan the entire grid for familiar starting combinations before tracing any paths. Words that start with TH, ST, PR, or CH are easier to spot because those letter pairs are visually distinctive even in a random grid.

For Picture Cross: Always start with the longest runs on both rows and columns — a row clue of "7" in a 9-wide grid means all middle squares are definitely filled. Work by elimination: once a row is complete, its filled squares constrain every column it crosses.

For Kakuro: Small target sums have limited digit combinations. A two-cell sum of 3 can only be 1+2; a sum of 17 can only be 8+9. Build your solution from these constrained cells outward.
